- Nursing clinical guidance — always follow your facility's policies, evidence-based practice guidelines, and the direction of your supervising healthcare providers

- Financial or tax advice — including salary negotiations, investment decisions, loan forgiveness eligibility, travel nursing tax strategies, or retirement planning

- Calculator/quiz inputs — data you enter into our interactive tools (e.g., salary figures, shift details, career preferences). This data is processed locally in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers unless explicitly stated
- Contact form submissions — if you reach out to us via email or a contact form

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — trusted third parties that help us operate the Site (e.g., hosting, analytics), bound by confidentiality obligations

Currently, The Nursing Directory operates as a free resource with no advertising revenue and no affiliate income.
Any recommendations or mentions of products, services, agencies, or programs are based on editorial judgment and are not paid placements unless explicitly disclosed.
17. Calculators, Quizzes & Interactive Tools
The Site offers various interactive tools including pay calculators, shift differential calculators, overtime calculators, stipend calculators, burnout assessments, career quizzes, and other educational tools.
Important:
- Data you enter into these tools is processed locally in your web browser using JavaScript. It is not transmitted to our servers unless explicitly stated on the tool's page.
- Results from calculators are estimates only and should not be relied upon for financial, tax, employment, or clinical decisions.
- Quiz and assessment results are for educational and self-reflection purposes only and do not constitute a professional diagnosis, evaluation, or recommendation.
